2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), and restaurant details you provide during registration.
• Restaurant data: menu items, images, descriptions, pricing, operating hours, and configuration settings you enter into the platform.
• Order data: customer orders placed through your digital menu, including order contents, delivery addresses, and payment references.
• Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, features used, and timestamps, collected automatically to improve the Service.
• Communication data: messages you send to us via email or the contact form.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases as defined by the GDPR:

• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing necessary to provide the Service you subscribed to.

We use your personal data to: provide and maintain the Fooodis platform; process your subscription and payments; send transactional notifications (order updates, account alerts); improve our features and user experience; provide customer support; and comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe: our payment processor, to handle subscription billing securely. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• DigitalOcean: our hosting provider, where platform data is stored on servers in Toronto, Canada.
• Google: if you enable Google Analytics or Google Translate features in your restaurant settings.

We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after termination. Order and transaction data is retained for up to 7 years to comply with Swedish accounting regulations. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. You may request earlier deletion of non-legally-required data.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements.

Your data is hosted on DigitalOcean servers in Toronto, Canada. Canada has been deemed by the European Commission to provide an adequate level of data protection. Where data is transferred to other third parties outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

10. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), hashed passwords, regular security updates, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
